From first hand experience, Eurostep knows the benefits reaped from using international standards for product data management.

This is the source of Eurostep's firm commitment to the development and use of global information standards. To futher enhance the strength of the standards, Eurostep heavily supports and contributes to the development and use of global information standards for product data in international organization such as ISO. 

In many of these efforts Eurostep has chosen to take a leading role in ensuring results that are of high quality, aimed at implementation and fitting in an overall framework defined by several standards. Among the work and organizations where Eurostep is involved we are proud to mention:

ISO TC184/SC4
The vision of SC4 is based on a business environment with a network of enterprises, inter-related by producer-purchaser and partnership interactions. The vision is of a data model that includes the product and process data necessary for the operation of all the enterprises in this network, in a consistent manner.

The mission of SC4 is to develop and promulgate standards for the representation of scientific, technical and industrial data, to develop methods for assessing conformance to these standards, and to provide technical support to other organizations seeking to deploy such standards in industry.

OASIS Product Life Cycle Support (PLCS) TC
- Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards

Collaborating on the deployment of an international standard for product data exchange (ISO 10303) to support complex engineered assets from concept to disposal.

OASIS (Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards) is a not-for-profit consortium that drives the development, convergence and adoption of open standards for the global information society. The consortium produces more Web services standards than any other organization along with standards for security, e-business, and standardization efforts in the public sector and for application-specific markets. Founded in 1993, OASIS has more than 5,000 participants representing over 600 organizations and individual members in 100 countries.

The Object Management Group (OMG)
OMG™ is an international, open membership, not-for-profit computer industry consortium. OMG Task Forces develop enterprise integration standards for a wide range of technologies, and an even wider range of industries. OMG’s modeling standards enable powerful visual design, execution and maintenance of software and other processes. OMG’s middleware standards and profiles are based on the Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA®) and support a wide variety of industries.

PDES, Inc.
The mission of PDES, Inc. is to accelerate the development and implementation of ISO 10303. Through development and deployment activities, PDES, Inc. is enabling enterprise integration and interoperability for member companies by:

• Implementing STEP using Web-based technologies
• Enabling integrated supply chains through pilot projects
• Increasing modular STEP applications to support product data throughout the lifecycle
• Increasing interoperability among CAD/PDM, PDM/PDM, and ECAD/MCAD systems
• Enabling faster and more efficient development of STEP products and services

Prostep IVIP
We provide our approximately 200 members with a platform upon which they can work together to shape communication in product development with the ultimate aim of facilitating successful collaboration in the manufacturing industry.

IAI IFC
IAI is an alliance of organizations dedicated to bring about a coordinated change for the improvement of productivity and efficiency in the construction and facilities management industry (Building Smart). Our members engage in national-industrial programmes that aim to change the organisation, process and technology of the industry.

POSC Caesar Association (PCA)
POSC Caesar Association (PCA) is a global, nonprofit member organization that shall promote the development of open specifications to be used as standards for enabling the interoperability of data, software and related matters. PCS initiated ISO 15926 "Integration of life-cycle data for process plants including oil and gas production facilities" and is committed to its maintenance and enhancement.

USPI-NL
A formal Association of companies operating in and supplying the Oil, Gas, Process & Power Industry with the mission:
"To improve safety, environmental care, integrity, reliability and achieve faster projects, cost reduction and innovation by developing and supporting implementations practices of plant life cycle data by adopting international standards."
