In the defence industry of today, the supply chains are more complex than ever. At the same time, the requirements on Mission Management are growing. Therefore, the demand for an integrated approach to systems for Mission Management is strong, as well as information about products, systems and related business processes, known as Resource Management. Resource Management is a vital ingredient in the larger Mission Management domain.
 
Finding and controlling resource information is becoming increasingly important. The problems are the same as in any industry:
