Eurostep provide key capabilities to LogOS bid for UK MoD FLIS contract
The UK Ministry of Defence is seeking to outsource the majority of the it’s logistic IT by selecting a commercial delivery partner (the “DP”) to work with MoD, and with selected OEMs, to rationalize and improve the MoD’s extensive logistic applications portfolio. Subject to contract award, expected later this year, the DP will take on the majority of MoD’s Logistic IT staff under a 10 year term partnering deal which includes incentives for progressively improving both service delivery and overall IT capability.
The program to achieve this – Future Logistics Information System , or FLIS - is adopting an aggressive timescale. When the Request for Proposals was issued in September last year, Eurostep investigated a number of options before deciding to join the LoGOS bid team, lead by Steria with EADS Defence and Security as the other core partner. Eurostep was one of four capability partners engaged in bid preparation. Our role was to assist LoGOS to develop an approach to application transformation and to prepare and develop an Enterprise Architecture model of the processes on which the LoGOS bid is based.
