Product Life Cycle Support
Technical Walk-Through

The business of providing support to complex products is undergoing dramatic change. This applies to a wide range of industries, for instance aerospace, defense, automotive, discrete manufacturing, telecommunications, and process and plant industries.

Manufacturers are looking to expand into the product support market, while asset owners are focusing on whole life cost, looking to share risk and therefore seeking partners. This is taking place against the backdrop of globalization and information sharing over the internet.

The PLCS Project

The international Product Life Cycle Support consortia (PLCS Inc) consisted of leading international organizations and government departments. Eurostep personnel lead the development of PLCS and are uniquely qualified to present the information exchange standard for product support, ISO AP239 PLCS, and the continuing work in OASIS, which is reshaping IT integration across the p roduct support domain.
