Dear all,
This time of the year is a time of reflection on our successes and challenges, as well as recognizing and remembering all the great people we have met and worked with over the years. The recent development with the COVID-19 Omicron variant is once again looking challenging. We remain convinced that with the collective strength of everybody around the world and great collaboration efforts, we will get through it all.
With this letter, we would like to share some of the positive development we have been lucky to be part of in 2021. For us, 2021 has been a year when business returned to (almost) normal. We have been fortunate to see great business development in so many areas. We have been worried, we have worked hard but we have also been laughing and enjoying what we are doing.
Our Defence Industry team have closed several very important projects and kicked of ShareAspace implementation projects in UK and Canada, together with our partner BAE Systems. In fall 2021 we could proudly announce that we have been selected by Damen Naval to work with them in delivering business collaboration solutions. We have seen several orders for ShareAspace Export Control, a domain with increased importance. And more.
In Manufacturing Industry we have successfully delivered some major upgrade projects providing our clients with the most modern technology coming with the latest release of the ShareAspace platform. The ShareAspace Design to Manufacturing product has been enhanced with features required by the procurement and quality departments – PLM democratization. We have also been working with a somewhat odd “PLM” project with a major customer selling off parts of their business and transferring the Intellectual Property and product data to the buyer by using ShareAspace, also known as a carve-out.
In the AEC and Plant Industry vertical, we have this fall launched ShareAspace iAIM – integrated Asset Information Management. It is already used in projects and clearly meets a need to better manage Digital Twins and Threads/Webs.
At the foundation level, we have also worked hard with the ShareAspace platform technology including the library concept for maximum reuse and rapid deployment. Much other technology development with the focus of supporting our prepackaged products for specific domains on a single, standards-based, platform has taken place.
Finally, we have always been strong believers in Openness, Standards and Collaboration. And we still believe we are much better together. Let’s continue to collaborate, to share, to help each other and to move forward together. Let’s continue to grow and get smarter together and apply the good ideas embedded in the Circular Economy.
