Situation

Current manufacturing processes view a product’s life cycle like “you only live once”, and PLM software generally follows this view. With the world looking for sustainability, tools such as PLM platforms, must support remanufacturing if complex products are to be designed and manufactured with recycling in mind.

Problem

Develop a practical framework for the industrial implementation of closed-loop manufacturing systems, and support it with a lifecycle management software collaborative platform. Build an API on this framework.

Solution

Developing the collaborative platform includes extending Eurostep ShareAspace PLM Collaboration with functions to support closed-loop multi lifecycle management. These includes new processes related to remanufacturing, linking its integrated supply…
