BAE Systems Maritime’s Supply Chain Journey with Eurostep – A Commentary by CIMdata

The Real and Digital Twin of a Surface Ship

BAE Systems Maritime is a company that designs, manufactures, and maintains naval ships and submarines, as well as their combat systems and equipment. Their supply chain involves a large number of component and subsystem providers, which can change as the product moves through different stages of development. To manage this complex supply chain, BAE Systems Maritime turned to Eurostep’s ShareAspace collaboration solution. This solution helps the company manage data security while protecting intellectual property and adhering to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR). It also helps unite data imports from the supply chain and meets the requirements of the UK’s Ministry of Defence for open access and long-term data retention. ShareAspace is a tried and tested solution that has been used in various sectors including maritime, defense, automotive, and heavy transportation.
